Dog Portraits, Barney
Well as you know I had intended to work on Brinkley the leonberger, however I needed to order a few more coloured pencils before I could start so in the meantime, meet Barney. Barney is a handsome labrador of 5 years old and he belongs to a fellow Forestry Commission worker.
And it seems such a long time since I've added any wildlife shots, so here are a few! We were very lucky yesterday as we saw so many deer, it seemed as though they all wanted to be photographed as we made our way through the woods. All of these deer were in one area and we saw them as we made our way to a place locally known as the 'go-cart track'.
We spotted the fallow doe above but then we were suprised to see she had too youngish fawns with her shown below.
Having twins is unusual but we then noticed they were different colours so thought maybe she had adopted one of them.
This was another doe we saw down a grassy ride. She watched us for a while before meandering back into the cover of the trees.
Then I spotted this young stag in the corner of my eye. His antlers caught the sun as he moved which gave him away, however, he was so uninterested in us....
