Dog Portraits, Harry

This is the start of the beautiful golden retriever, Harry. It would seem Harry is very laid back and I assume this is one of his favourite postitions, asleep on the stairs. Doesn't he look lovely! I've finally managed to get enough done on this portrait to warrant an update, poor Harry did have just one closed eye and a bit of surrounding fur for a while so at long last he's on the books!

As for Pepper, he just has the inside of his ear to go but I have been struggling to get a good photo of it, by the time I get home in the evenings the daylight has all but gone and even with the wonder of daylight bulbs, which prove brilliant to work with, they are not really able to light a portrait evenly all over to take a photo. I'm hoping to finish the ear today and will get a photo shoot in place to update a bit later, then it will be the framing bit, ta da!

If you like my work please take the time to leave me a comment or become a follower. If you would like to win a pet portrait of your dog, cat, horse or any other pet please see my new competition. It costs nothing to enter, all you require is internet access.

You can see the character of Harry coming through even at this stage. Gosh but you're good Karie Ann!
