Dog Portrait, Patch

I've got a bit further with Patch, now there's some grass too!!!

It was such a nice sunny day today, I moved my television out of the rabbit shed and put it on the picnic bench in the garden to watch ENGLAND BEAT FRANCE at rugby, and it was a beating too - yippee!!! I watched as a group of buzzards circled over the top of my rabbit pen so it was a good thing not to leave them outside on their own otherwise a few may have gone missing!!! I did try to catch the buzzards on video but they just look like blurs so obviously they are camera shy!

Just to remind everyone that in my drive to get better rankings for my blog and website I am looking to exchange links with any interested parties for both websites and blogs.

Patch is coming along wonderful. I have just seen my beautiful barn owl soaring across the field, he is magnificent. Glad you had a good day its been lovely here too, went down to the coast with friends. Hope you get more done on this portrait, using pencils must take a long time and lots of patience. Good luck.

I agree with Carolann, Patch is coming along wonderfully. Sounds like there is nice weather everywhere. Here in Ottawa Canada, we have had a gorgeous weekend with beautiful springlike weather. Our summer birds are arriving and singing so perhaps it will be an early spring this year!

Wow, Patch is such a sweet looking fella. This is coming along nicely. I see you are working hard at the grass. I hate making grass, especially in colored pencil. Can't wait to see more.

Grass is so simple looking but a nightmare to do. The image above actually looks much brighter than it is, thankfully the grass isn't quite so lime coloured!

This looks great, and I agree - grass can be a pain to render!
About the link exchange... I have links of my favorite blogs on my page, yours is included... is that what you mean?

This is just coming along beautifully! Love the grass, but with so much detail, IT MUST be a nightmare!

Tell me more about your link exchange as well, please.

Selling pet portraits is a creative and easy way to make extra money

and most of the work can be done right from the comfort of your own home. To many people, their pet is an important and beloved member of the

family and, while beautiful portraits of other family members adorn the walls, most people rarely have a portrait of their pet
