pet portrait of spaniel

And now it's beginning to look a little more like a spaniel! This is Bodie whose pet portrait is a surprise gift for his owner, you can see the reference image at the bottom of the page and you can see pevious updates here
And here is a close up of the eye area, this was a bit difficult to achieve as there is very little layering can be done on drafting film so the blending was done very carefully otherwise the colours would matt out and then not take anymore layers of colour. You can see just how many pencil strokes are needed to give the 'fur' look!!! And a few updates from the garden, this is our Gypsy posing for me, well actually she was waiting for Ronnie who was just to the side of her, she only has eyes for him! And this little cayuga duckling hatched today, 5 from 6 eggs and possibly the last one may well hatch aswell so that's a very good hatch rate indeed. He or she was chirping away quite loudly so was obviously fit as a flea and keen to get out into the big outside world.
